Cafe Viejo - Pizza and Style
When we arrived at this newest pizza place in Puerto Viejo, there was already a good sized crowd, but by the time we left, people were waiting for tables in the doorway-and for good reason. Two tables were rapidly moved together to accomodate the size of our group, and the service was consistently efficient and friendly for the rest of our meal. Drinks appeared within minutes, something that doesn't always happen in this neck of the woods, and our two generous-size salads weren't far behind.
Bread was also brought to the table, a tasty homemade loaf with crunchy crusts. We ordered one small pizza with the greatest number of ingredients, and a large four-cheese pizza. The large was big enough to feed four moderately hungry adults, and the combination of ingredients on the small pizza was an excellent combination of spicy and flavorful. The remodeled interior is pleasant and there is nice space between tables. The prices were reasonable, we were able to spend under $30.00 for our family of 6, including beer and soft drinks. There are also some tempting looking desserts, but we were all too full to try them. Our experience was totally positive, from the view of both the adults and children in our group. This restaurant is on our return list, and is well worth a try.
